What is FSC®?
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international body founded in 1993, which accredits certification organizations. The goal of FSC is to promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial & economically viable management of the world's forests, by establishing a worldwide standard of recognized and respected Principles of Forest Stewardship. The Forest Stewardship Council oversees an international labeling scheme for forest products that provides assurance that products carrying the FSC logo have been certified as coming from forests in compliance with the internationally recognized FSC Principles and Criteria of Forest Stewardship.
