Demand Analyst/Supply Chain Analyst

The Demand Analyst of our Composite Fibers (CF) and Airlaid Materials (AM) business sectors will supports the activities of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Demand Process. This position gathers and captures all the changes provided across the CF and AM product lines for the Demand. This role will coordinate with the Demand Manager to analyze and compare information for consistency and analyze the quantitative input data provided by sales while consolidating the data for the S&OP presentation. The Demand Analyst supports and represents the Demand Manager with all the documentation and Power Point presentation requested by the S&OP process.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather Demand information for the different market segments per customer and grade by geographic market, and market line for CF and AM
  • Development and analysis of sales performance vs. budget
  • Prepare meaningful and focused reports for CF business unit including Marketing Director / Sales Directors / VP Sales & Marketing and the CF Leadership
  • Maintains master data used for demand process
  • Maintains a database to store and update forecast data on regular basis
  • Identifies errors generated and makes corrections appropriately
  • Schedules regular meetings to review demand and forecast levels with Sales Managers and Product Line Managers
  • Schedules reviews with Sales directors in preparation of Demand review with leadership
  • Works with sales and marketing team to identify sales opportunities and risks
  • Analyzes changes and trends vs previous cycle, previous year and budget to ensure data consistency
  • Creates presentation and distributes all files to relevant partners (SCM, FI, SM, CS).
  • Measures and analyses demand accuracy (actual vs. demand)
  • Maintains and save all documentation. Secure transparency of information and data by maintaining documents accessible (sharepoint).
  • Assists the Sales managers and Customer Service Representatives in developing weekly sales projections
  • Continuously Improve Demand planning activities (for example: creating relevant analyses and dashboards in Excel and FIORI)
  • Train and support users in handling new software (for example training users during rollout of IBP)
  • Participate in the annual budget and STRAT process by providing the demand figures as a basis
  • Back up for the Demand Manager when out of office

  • Sales Leaders, Sales Managers, CSRs
  • Leadership Team for specific projects
  • Supply Chain / S&OP Manager
  • IT / Finance to support and develop meaningful reports

Skills:

  • Analytical thinking (affinity to data and analysis)
  • SAP, BI, BDE user (dedicated functions)
  • Standard communication skills
  • Expertise in MS Office, especially Excel (Marco, Graphs) and Power Point
  • Supply Chain Process understanding
  • Written and oral communication: Fluent in English and good knowledge of German language
  • Organizational ability, time management
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player

Experience Desired:

  • >2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or related field
  • SCM, Planning, Finance or Marketing understanding
