Position Summary Description:

This role requires strong expertise in manufacturing, data management, and operating technologies. Technical experience is required in manufacturing runtime systems, data history and integration tools. This candidate must be skilled and passionate in the areas of Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing and leveraging data and digital technologies to transform manufacturing operations.

• Supports ongoing projects, creating and reviewing functional and technical requirements documents for application enhancements.
• Document system changes in accordance with change control procedures
• Exposure to test-driven development and experience with all phases of testing. Experience in HPALM is a plus.
• Evaluate changes and minimize the impact on the business due to planned and unplanned events.

Requirements and Ability:

• Strong understanding of OSIsoft PI System architecture with experience in PI System implementations
• Experience in installation, configuration, validation and tuning of PI Server and interfaces
• Experience in implementing analytical solutions with PI Asset Framework Analytics
• Extensive PI interface experience required (PI OPC DA/UA, RDBMS)
• Experience installing and customizing client software, including PI Vision, ProcessBook, DataLink
• Experience with the installation and configuration of PI Event Frames and PI Batch

• Strong understanding of the Windows operating system, networking and system security fundamentals
• Experience with Windows system administration (Server 2008 and higher)
• Good technical knowledge of networks and related hardware and software
• Excellent analytical skills, troubleshooting and methodical approaches to solving difficult problems
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complex assignments, be autonomous, be able to meet objectives and deadlines on own initiative with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years experience in Pi systems, including implementations and administration, MS SQL and MES
• Ability to express oneself in French and English and to communicate with different stakeholders.
