Production Apprenticeship
Glatfelter Lydney Production Apprenticeship is a 3-year program run at CATCHUK. You will spend up to 8 weeks per year (in 1 or 2-week blocks) at Catch UK working towards your Level 3 Science Manufacturing Engineering Technician qualification as well as Level 2 and Level 3 GQA papermaking qualifications.
Following each module, you will return to the Lydney Mill and put into practice your learnings in an operational environment. Throughout this time, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the process, where no two days are the same. You could be involved in analysing fiber, problem solving, running our stock prep plant or our paper machines once fully trained or testing our final product before converting to customer specifications.

Person Specification
- Candidates should possess or have predicted grades of 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above to include Mathematics, English and a Science/technical-based subject.
- An enthusiastic and genuine interest to apply process skills in a production environment is essential.
- Willingness to learn and apply that learning in the workplace.
