SAP Analyst – PTM

This position will be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. The SAP PTM Analyst’s role is to collaboratively work with business users and IT team members to design and implement SAP ERP software and systems.  This position is responsible for the support of SAP’s Production Planning & Controlling and associated modules. To be successful, this person must exhibit strong skills in SAP PP and desired knowledge in SAP ABAP and be able to acquire additional skills in other SAP modules, as required. Duties include the daily support of user activity, maintenance of existing systems, development and/or configuration of new functionality or applications including tests, work within the processes and standards of a global organization, and maintaining appropriate relationships with the business and within IT.

Duties & Responsibilities

Includes but is not limited to the following duties.

  • Work with business analysts and project managers, and the IT development and support team, to deliver global, scalable solutions and improvements.
  • Partner with IT colleagues to deliver world class SAP centered solutions.
  • Work with business analysts and project managers to define business requirements of proposed enhancements to existing software functions, the development of new functionality including testing, or the acquisition of new software.
  • Develop functionality, conceptual designs, and process flows to meet business requirements.
  • Create functional and technical designs when program development is required.
  • Provide input for and develop test plans.
  • Perform system configuration and troubleshooting, as needed.
  • Work within the global applications processes to plan and deliver prioritized work within agreed upon timeframes.
  • Update user scripts and business process documentation.
  • Assist the business community and management in the execution of system tests.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities across other application areas.
  • Assist in the support of non-SAP applications wherever applicable
  • Be accountable for meeting timelines, cost estimates, and work with project teams to deliver the value committed on business projects.
  • Contribute to an environment of Continuous Improvement of IT processes.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production and any other Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience including 1-2 years of experience in SAP PP.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of information technology and/or related domain experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience in SAP ABAP (preferable)

Competencies

  • Demonstrate ability in SAP PP configuration and knowledge of all finance related areas in PP.
  • In-depth understanding of SAP’s PP module, including experience in configuring and maintaining PP Master data, Planning & production
  • Background in SAP reporting capabilities, including report painter, report writer and SAP Query.
  • Familiarity with SQL queries and working with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong interpersonal / customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels within a manufacturing organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in production.
  • Software development life cycle experience.
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
