Warehouse Manager

Located in Old Hickory, TN, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all operations within a dual warehouse facility including shuttle operations for movement of finished goods from the manufacturing site to the two warehouses.  The operations within the warehouses include truck unloading, product palletization, truck loading (customer shipments and internal movements) as well as inventory management.  Shuttle operation management includes shuttle drivers, contract shuttle company and managing fleet of trailers and tractors.  Manage all personnel within the team including logistics coordinators, warehouse supervisor, material handlers, and shuttle drivers.  Position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely manage warehouses ensuring all warehouse staff and employees follow all safety protocols and complete all required safety training and attend routine safety meetings.
  • Manage shuttle / fleet to ensure no interruptions to finished goods flow from manufacturing facility.
  • Establish / maintain operating schedules and routine practices to ensure on-time customer shipments.
  • Develop, create, and manage the processes and KPIs associated with the shipping and receiving of product to ensure product integrity and order filling accuracy
  • Manage monthly cycle counts and quarterly physical inventory execution
  • Use interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the work force and drive execution of policies and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met.
  • Develop and maintain ISO level operation guidelines and metrics
  • Maintain an efficient, cost-effective operations layout
  • Key member of project team to represent warehouse management for new SAP implementation with a 2023 go-live.
  • Coordinates the training and development of employees. Includes identifying development needs, implementing programs as required, carefully monitoring progress, and coordinating with HR as required.
  • Evaluates process and procedures and makes recommendations to management for Continuous Improvement opportunities. Instills an entrepreneurial spirit within the company, encouraging the same among direct reports.
  • Interview and collaborate with HR in the hiring and termination of personnel.
  • Follows all company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Supervisory or management experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel.
